A middle aged man approaches the speaker booth on the large Podium made of plain wood. The faded color, cracks and various other things tell of the age and tear it had been through. The Man taking up his spot at the head of the Podium was Casually suited. A normal, non-expencive, black business suit over a colorful shirt, it fit him rather well. He wasjust over six feet tall with a full head of hair and piercing green eyes. His face was eagle shaped, but held a distinct wolfishness to it. His white skin was slightly tanned and his build was that of an active man who didn't mind to get his hands dirty.
"My Dear Fellow Citizens of Persious!" His Voise was loud over the speaker phones place through out the city and fromthe speakers of old, worn Television sets. "I thank you all for voting me Mayor. I will domy best to improve our fair, impoverished city and I will do my best to protect the average life from the petty criminals that stalk the streets." He paused momentarily, showing a genuine smile as the small crowd about the Podium cheered him on. "Now, I know that the road ahead of us will be difficult and times will get tough. It always does before things get easy and better, so we must preservere for now! I have looked at our fair City andrealize what we need. I will begin to Increase the amount of farms we have, construct a Police Station and keep the Taxes as they are.
I will use the market to sell Lumber for the betterment of our City and I will use some of those earnings to buy more food for our all of us. As time continues I would like to construct a School, our children are in dire need of a higher education that will allow us to expect more and have higher standards."
He paused again. The Crowd was half cheering half murmuring in agreement with his statements. "So I will close with saying just this. Thank you all and I will not fail you." With that. He smiled, waved, stepped from teh Podium and walked away resolutely.
